Ceramic foam filters are designed for filtration of iron, steel, aluminum, bronze, brass and other copper alloys.
Due to the mechanism of formation of the so-called "filter cake" on the front side of the filters and deep percolation within the ceramic matrix products, the use of filters makes it possible to achieve a high metallurgical purity of molten metal.
Ceramic foam filters allow for calming the metal down while filling the form, thus preventing the appearance of new contaminants and undesirable defects in castings. This effect of filling the form is due to replacement of the turbulent motion of the liquid metal before the filter for laminary flow after the filter.
The use of ceramic foam filters allows for high quality castings while reducing the cost of production.

Improvement of quality of castings:
- Improvement of product surface;
- Improvements of mechanicalcharacteristics;
- Achievement of betterdensityof castings;
- Achievement of higher dimensional accuracy
Cost savings:
- Reduction of the numberof spoilage;
- Reductionof the cost of product processing;
- Simplification of the model and gating system.
These properties of the filters are provided by the open 3D-structural ceramic matrix, which is formed by the system of inter-connected cells. Filters have a very good thermal conductivity, stability and resistance to sudden changes in temperature.
Filters can be used in filtration units of gating systems, even in the case of direct injection onto the filter. Products can be used in combination with insulating or exothermic injection of molding foundry bailers and filtration carousels.Made by "Kingwell Fibre Materials Co., Ltd", China.
