Ferromolybdenum containing 60% Mo (the rest is Fe and other impurities) is produced with outside-the furnace silicone thermal process with the addition of aluminum from the deified molybdenite concentrate. It is used for melting of structural steel and superalloys.
Ferromolybdenum is used in the production of alloyed structural and tool steels, special alloys and superalloys, and for iron doping.
Ferromolybdenum comes crushed in pieces up to 100 mm, packed in steel drums, wooden boxes or special containers.
