FILTERING ELEMENT - based on glass fiber fabrics with fire-resistant coating.
Purpose: The filtering elements are designed for fine filtration of molten iron (gray, malleable and ductile cast irons, high-carbon and manganese steels) and nonferrous metals in the production of castings in sand molds, and chill mold.
Description: The filtering elements are made on the basis of silica glass KS-11-LA (КС-11-ЛА) with a special coating that provides rigidity and thermal stability under the influence of the molten metal at temperatures up to 16500 centigrees. ![]()
The basis of the filter is a mesh structure with a surface density of 510-550 g/m2 and the size of filter cells: 1,5x1,5 mm, 2,0 x2,0 mm, thickness of the filter - 0.9 - 1.2 mm.
The geometric shape - rectangle.
The filter sizes are calculated based on specific technological conditions of production of castings.
Key benefits:
- Reduction of spoilage casts due to presence of nonmetallic inclusions;
- Reductionof use of metalsin casting (foundry) systems;
- Improvement of mechanical properties ofcast structure;
- Minimal changes in existing technologies when introducing the process;
- Fine filtration.
