| Purpose: The alloy of aluminum-titanium-boron (AlTiB) provides an effective grain refinement of aluminum alloys by introducing into the melt of fine crystals of titanium diboride, serving as crystallization centers. Entering this ligature leads to improved mechanical properties and reduce gas porosity. A ligature is applied to all aluminum alloys: pure aluminum, wrought alloys and cast silumin.
Field of use: production of ingots for subsequent extrusion, the production of foil, production of hull mold castings and sand molds. |

Chemical composition and structure Brand Composition: Ti и В Usage AlTiB 5/1 Ti 5%, B 1% The most widely used universal ligature. AlTiB 5/0,6 Ti 5%, B 0,6% It is used in cases of high risk of agglomerates borides. AlTiB 5/0,2 Ti 5%, B 0,2% It is used in cases of high risk of agglomerates borides. AlTiB 3/1 Ti 3%, B 1% It is used when using the return or charge with high content of titanium. AlTiB 3/0,2 Ti 3%, B 0,2% It is used when using the return or charge with high content of titanium.
Microstructure of ligatures - evenly distributed in terms of phases: titanium diboride andtitanium aluminate in the matrix of pure aluminum.
A ligature was obtained from a primary pure aluminum.
Application technology: ligature (AITiB) is introduced into the melt by hand or by machine for the continuous supply of ligatures in the form of rod (wire). The melt is stirred for uniform distribution of titanium diboride. The use of purging with nitrogen with stirring rotor is possible. Due to the uniform distribution of phases in terms of the effect of grain refining master alloys occurs after 2 minutes after entering the ligatures in the melt and saved for up to 6 hours.

Consumption rate:
For pure aluminum and wrought alloys is usually:
The ingots for the subsequent extrusion: 0,5 ÷ 2 kg per ton of melt;
The ingots for rolling: 0,5 ÷ 1,5 kg per tonne;
Continuous casting - strip or sheet of 1÷ 3 kg per tonne.
For aluminum casting alloys:
AlSi5Cu3 (АА 319) - 3÷5 kg per ton of melt;
AlSi7Mg (AA356) - 2÷4 kg per ton;
AlSil2(AA413) - 1 kg per ton;
AlSi12Mg (АА360) - 1÷2 kg per ton;
AIMg5 (AA514) - 3÷5 kg per ton;
А1Сu4 (АА 295) - 3÷5 kg per ton.
The consumption rate is specified by process engineer taking into account the specific production conditions.
Delivery form: rod (wire) of 9.5 mm diameter, in coils, ingots of different weights.
