Refining flux tablet agent "Degazer" (Дегазёр)
1. Purpose
Refining flux tablet agent "Degazer" is designed to clean aluminum and its alloys from non-metallic (Al2O3) and gas (H2) inclusions of alkali and alkaline earth metals such as Na, Mg, Na and Li.
2. Scope of use
Primary aluminum and aluminum alloys of all groups - silumin, piston alloys with silicon content of 17-21%, secondary casting alloys, wrought alloys of 2xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx series.
3. Advantages
• low melting point;
• high activity that allows for deep cleaning of non-metallic and gas inclusions and impurities of alkali metals and alkaline earth metals;
• short refining period;
• low capacity to form reaction products that lead to the overgrowth of the lining;
• low humidity;
• energy-intensive packaging;
• readily available to be used in the furnaces of any type.
4. Method of use
1. Remove slag
2. Place "Degazer" pill into the bell; the bell then should be closed with paper wad
3. Turn off burners
4. Measure temperature (recommended temperature is 680-750 C)
5. Using bell handle treat the entire volume of the melt until the end of the reaction
6. Allow for technological exposure of 15-20 minutes
7. Remove reaction products from the surface of the melt
5. Consumption rate (flow rate)
Consumptionof "Degazer" it 0,3 to 0,5 kg per metric ton when refining of hydrogen and nonmetallic inclusions, 0.5- 1.0kg/t in refining impurities from alkali and alkaline-earth metals. Flow rate can be increased depending on the degree of contamination of the melt when using scrap as a charge of up to 1.5 kg/m
6. Appearance 
The tablet is a cylinder of 72 mm in diameter, weight -- 250 g
At customer's request it can be made in powder form.
Humidity: not exceeding 1%
7. Packaging
Tablets are packed in a cardboard box of 20 kg.
8. Conditions and shelf life
Store in dry place indoors for 6 months from the date of manufacture
